The Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin program was developed to engage Indigenous men and youth in ending violence against Indigenous women.
This program is for Indigenous males aged 13+ who are proactively seeking cultural resources and support services in the movement to end violence against women. We also offer services to men who were or are currently involved in the justice system.

Content
This program reconnects men to their ancient duty as protectors of women and children and to Mino-Bimaadiziwin (live the good life). Goals include:
- Improving self-esteem and sense of identity among urban Indigenous men.
- Reducing instances of violence against Indigenous women from men who have received program supports, including those who were reintegrated into the community.
- Reducing stigma around conversations about violence against Indigenous women.
- Increasing collaboration between Friendship Centres, Delivery Sites, levels of government and other organizations to support efforts to reduce violence against Indigenous women.
- Providing education and support for men and boys to address issues of violence against women.
- Offering a safe, secure and healthy environment where men can feel confident to express themselves in a positive manner.

- Group-based services

- One-to-one peer counselling
- Anger management
- Addressing substance abuse issues
- Service navigation
- Individual advocacy support
- Justice-related individual supports
- Individual/Family support
- Individual traditional teachings
- Referral to other Friendship Centres’ programs
